Gangnam-gu Supports Youth Employment by Fostering Global Experts
From the 29th, 'Trade Master' and 'SCIT Master' Training Conducted... 50% Tuition Support for Youth Under 34 in the Region
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jung Soon-gyun) will jointly conduct the ‘40th Trade Master Course’ and the ‘41st SCIT Master Course’ with the Korea International Trade Association starting from the 29th to nurture local youth facing employment difficulties into global experts.
As part of the global expert development support project, this course aims to cultivate practical talents tailored to corporate demands. For applicants residing in Gangnam who are university graduates or expected graduates under the age of 34, 50% of the tuition fee will be supported. They will receive education at the Trade Academy ICT Center for six months starting this month. After completion, employment linkage such as matching with related companies will also be provided.
The Trade Master Course includes ▲ specialized knowledge in trade and marketing ▲ business foreign languages (English, Chinese, Spanish, etc.) ▲ personality and employment special lectures, and field trips, while the SCIT Master Course provides education in ▲ information and communication ▲ foreign languages (individual and team projects) ▲ and competency enhancement.

Meanwhile, since August last year, the district has continued efforts to create global jobs for local youth by adding two new training courses to the global expert development support project: ‘US Convergence Software Workforce Training’ and ‘KITA Japan Employment School.’
