[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] As of 6 PM on the 25th, the number of new COVID-19 cases nationwide was recorded at 382, which is 55 more than the same time the previous day (327 cases).
According to health authorities and local governments including Seoul, the metropolitan area accounted for 278 cases (72.8%), and non-metropolitan areas accounted for 104 cases (27.2%). By city and province, Gyeonggi had 158 cases, Seoul 101, Gyeongnam 31, Gangwon 21, Incheon 19, Daegu 16, Gyeongbuk 10, Busan 9, Chungbuk 8, Daejeon 5, and Chungnam, Jeonbuk, Jeonnam, and Jeju each had 1 case.
The number of new cases to be announced as of midnight on the 26th is expected to reach the low to mid 400s. On the previous day, 103 cases were added after 6 PM, closing at a total of 430 cases.
