'20th Anniversary of Opening' Incheon International Airport History Museum Opens

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyewon] Incheon International Airport Corporation announced on the 25th that it has opened a history museum in the Terminal 2 passenger terminal to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the opening of Incheon International Airport this year.
The opening ceremony was attended by Kim Kyung-wook, President of Incheon International Airport Corporation, Kang Dong-seok, the first president of Incheon International Airport Corporation, heads of resident airport organizations, and related officials to celebrate the opening of the history museum.
The Incheon International Airport History Museum is located on the 5th floor of the public area observation deck in Terminal 2 of Incheon International Airport, and is free for all airport users and visitors. The opening hours are from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The Incheon International Airport History Museum is composed of five themed spaces to cover the 20 years of footsteps since the opening, from the construction of Incheon International Airport to successful operation and future growth projects: ▲ Challenge for the Best ▲ Global Standard ICN ▲ Moments of Passion and Challenge ▲ Flight Toward Tomorrow ▲ JOY! ICN.
The 'Challenge for the Best' corner at the entrance of the history museum was created in collaboration with domestic emerging cultural and artistic artists, shaping the architecture of Incheon International Airport, and the 'Global Standard ICN' exhibits the major history and current status of the aviation network of Incheon International Airport from the site selection stage to its growth as a global hub airport today.
The 'Moments of Passion and Challenge' corner exhibits the challenging moments of resident airport staff and related organization officials who made the construction and operation of Incheon International Airport possible, while the 'Flight Toward Tomorrow' corner offers a glimpse of the future vision of Incheon International Airport, including the 4th phase construction project and the establishment of a convergence culture and industrial belt.
The 'JOY! ICN' corner consists of various experiential programs such as a virtual reality (VR) experience of the baggage handling system and snapshot photo shoots with Incheon International Airport as the background.
