[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Mercedes-Benz Korea officially launched the versatile sports performance family sports utility vehicle (SUV) ‘The New Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4MATIC’ earlier this month.
The New Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4MATIC is the first high-performance model of The New GLB, which has enjoyed great popularity with approximately 3,000 units sold since its official launch in September last year.
This model features various AMG elements on an exterior that demonstrates performance both on and off-road, further highlighting the powerful performance of the high-performance brand AMG.
The AMG-exclusive Panamericana grille at the front emphasizes that The New AMG GLB 35 4MATIC belongs to the AMG family, and the AMG-exclusive silver chrome front splitter and air intake are also distinctive AMG features.
On the side, below the silver chrome waistline, the ‘TURBO 4MATIC’ lettering and 19-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke lightweight alloy wheels stand out, while the rear features an AMG rear diffuser, round tailpipe trims, and an AMG-exclusive glossy black roof spoiler that accentuate the exterior.
The New AMG GLB 35 4MATIC offers ample space based on a 2,830 mm wheelbase and 1,035 mm headroom. The second-row seats provide 967 mm of legroom, ensuring a comfortable ride for rear passengers, and the cargo space reaches up to 1,805 liters.
The 2.0-liter 4-cylinder twin-scroll turbocharged engine equipped in The New AMG GLB 35 4MATIC delivers immediate responsiveness when the accelerator pedal is pressed, producing a maximum output of 306 horsepower and a peak torque of 40.8 kg·m.
