[Breaking] Authorities: 'Ban on Gatherings of More Than 5 People' Not Applied During Election Campaigns
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] With the April 7 by-elections just about two weeks away, health authorities have announced that gatherings of five or more people during election campaigns will not be considered a violation of quarantine rules.
On the 25th, Son Youngrae, head of the Social Strategy Division at the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, said in a back briefing, "While private gatherings are regulated, due to the nature of election campaigns, meeting and greeting people during the campaign process is difficult to consider as a gathering."
