Google says app stoppage error can be resolved by updating, not deleting WebView
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Google recently advised not to delete the problematic app 'WebView' related to the Android smartphone app crash error, but to update it to the new version.
Google Korea stated on its blog on the 24th, "Updating Android System WebView and Google Chrome can resolve the (app crash) issue."
They added, "For affected devices, Google Play will automatically update the apps," and "If you want a faster solution, you can manually update them via Google Play."
To update WebView and Chrome, search for each app in the Google Play Store and run the update. If the update does not work in the Play Store, go to your device's Settings → Apps & notifications → Google Play Store → Storage & cache → Clear data, then try again.
