Gwangyang-eup Community Security Council Holds Regular Meeting
Discussion on Public-Private Partnership Projects to Address Welfare Blind Spots
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] The Gwangyang-eup Community Security Council in Gwangyang-si, Jeollanam-do announced on the 24th that it held the first regular meeting of 2021 on the 23rd at the small conference room on the 2nd floor of the Gwangyang-eup Office, with 14 members attending, including Public Chairman Jeong Eun-tae and Private Chairman Seo Mun-sik.
At this regular meeting, two new projects promoted through public-private cooperation (‘Bbosongbbosong one-stop blanket laundry’ and ‘Visiting Love 愛 Goods Package’) and this year’s Gwangyang-si Community Council public project ‘Fulfilling Wishes in Welfare Blind Spots’ were discussed.
As a result of the meeting, projects such as ▲Habitat house repair volunteer service ▲Horticultural therapy project ▲Outing project for elderly living alone ▲Summer Bokdari events (early, middle, late Bok days) ▲Benchmarking by council members were derived.
Private Chairman Seo Mun-sik said, “The role of council members is to discover neighbors who are experiencing difficulties or need welfare benefits and to find resources for prompt welfare service support,” adding, “I will work with the members to fulfill the role of a reliable neighbor who gives hope to difficult families.”
