Donghae-si, COVID-19 Mass Testing for Bathhouse Workers
Concurrent On-Site Inspections of Bathhouse Industry Quarantine Measures Until the 31st
[Asia Economy Reporter La Youngcheol] Donghae City, Gangwon Province, will conduct a full COVID-19 testing of bathhouse workers in the area until the 31st.
According to the city on the 24th, bathhouse workers including scrubbers, barbers, concession operators, and management staff at 17 locations in Donghae City must get tested at the public health center's screening clinics.
Separately, the city will also conduct on-site COVID-19 prevention inspections of bathhouses until the 26th.
The purpose of this testing is to proactively block further transmission of infection through preemptive diagnostic testing, following the continuous occurrence of bathhouse infections in the Gyeongnam region recently.
The city plans to focus inspections on whether the following are posted and followed: mandatory mask-wearing rules for managers and users, usage limits (one person per 4㎡), and posting and guidance of allowable occupancy at entrances and other locations.
