KT-Korea Gallup, Incorporating AI Technology into Public Opinion Surveys... Survey Efficiency ↑
Signing of MOU for Joint Promotion of AI Contact Center
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Polling specialist Korea Gallup is introducing KT's artificial intelligence (AI) technology into its survey operations.
On the 24th, KT signed a 'Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Joint Promotion of AI Contact Center' at KT Gwanghwamun headquarters in Seoul with Korea Gallup. Key officials from both companies attended the signing ceremony, including KT's Yoo Chang-gyu, Head of Gangbuk·Gangwon Corporate Customer Division, and Park Jae-hyung, Vice Chairman of Korea Gallup.
The main content of this agreement is to apply KT's AI contact center (AICC) solutions, such as speech recognition (STT), personalized text-to-speech technology (P-TTS), and voice bots, to various polling fields conducted by Korea Gallup.
To this end, both companies plan to cooperate in ▲ discovering automated work models through AI technology adoption ▲ automating simple call center tasks using AICC solutions like speech recognition and dialogue engines ▲ exploring business models utilizing AI·DX technologies such as big data and cloud.
Through this partnership, Korea Gallup can reduce the maximum cost of several hundred million won that would be incurred if it built an AICC independently. The KT AICC service to be applied to Korea Gallup will only require a monthly subscription fee.
When companies use the AICC service, they can automate telephone consultation tasks while identifying moments during consultations that require direct support, allowing AI to connect to human agents. This is expected to be especially helpful for small and medium-sized enterprises with significant cost burdens.
With the introduction of this AICC service, Korea Gallup expects AI to handle simple repetitive surveys, enabling more standardized and accurate research.
Park Jae-hyung, Vice Chairman of Korea Gallup, stated, “We expect AI to improve the efficiency of survey operations through this service introduction and further anticipate the expansion of new business areas based on AI.”
