On the same day, Ahn appeared on the YouTube channel 'Lee Bong-gyu TV' and responded to the question, "Doesn't the People Power Party candidate Oh Se-hoon have stronger organizational power in the opposition?" with this answer.
He acknowledged the organizational strength of the main opposition party but emphasized that he must become the unified candidate to gain support from the moderate voters. Ahn added, "What use is it to win the Seoul mayoral election but lose the presidential election?" and said, "To win the presidential election, the most important thing is to broaden the opposition support base beyond the current level."
He also said, "Including Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-youl, former lawmaker Geum Tae-seop, and genuine civic groups, we will achieve a grand opposition unification," adding, "We will unite all forces, including the Taegeukgi faction, to wage an all-out battle for the nation's fate."
Furthermore, he emphasized, "With less than a year left until the presidential election, I will take the lead to ensure that a single unified presidential candidate emerges so that there is no division there."
Regarding candidate Oh, Ahn said, "Oh said in the debate that he would resign if a witness testifies regarding the land speculation allegations in Naegok-dong," expressing concern that "I understand the Democratic Party actually has more evidence."
