3 Additional COVID-19 Cases in Military... Additional Testing at Icheon Army Base
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] Three new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed within the military.
According to the Ministry of National Defense on the 21st, the additional confirmed cases include a civilian employee of an army unit in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, a full-time reservist soldier in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, and a soldier in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province.
The Icheon military unit is conducting additional tests on contacts of the confirmed civilian employee. So far, out of approximately 170 individuals tested, all have been confirmed negative except for 7 whose results are still pending.
The full-time reservist soldier tested positive after being tested due to a family member's confirmed case, and the Chuncheon unit soldier was confirmed positive during a test conducted before release from quarantine after returning from leave.

As of 10 a.m. on the same day, the cumulative number of confirmed cases within the military stands at 644, with 39 currently receiving treatment.
