1 Confirmed Case Contact and 1 Foreigner Worker Preemptive Test
On the 19th, health authorities are conducting a drill at the COVID-19 local vaccination center set up at Yeomju Sports Complex in Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City.

According to Gwangju Metropolitan City as of 2 PM on the 21st, two people tested positive in COVID-19 diagnostic tests.
Case 2185 was identified as a contact of case 2183, who was confirmed positive the previous day. The infection route of case 2183 has not yet been determined.
Case 2186 was confirmed positive during diagnostic testing of foreign workers conducted by Gwangju City.
Since the 11th, Gwangju City has been conducting COVID-19 diagnostic tests on 218 workplaces employing five or more foreign workers as a proactive measure targeting foreigners residing in the area.
Out of approximately 1,700 people targeted, more employers participated in the diagnostic tests by the previous day, with 10,510 people tested: 1 positive, 10,310 negative, and 199 awaiting results.
Meanwhile, Gwangju’s quarantine authorities will conduct diagnostic tests for bathhouse and sauna workers as well as foreign workers in general restaurants from the 22nd until the end of this month.

A total of 390 locations and 713 people will be targeted, with testing conducted at the temporary screening clinic set up at Gwangju City Hall Plaza and the screening clinics at five district health centers.
