On a rock viewed from the yard of the residence, the inscriptions ‘Yangsan Dongcheon (陽山洞天)’ and ‘Namgeo Yugeo (南渠幽居)’ are engraved. Yangsan Dongcheon means ‘a place on the sunny side of Inwang Mountain where sunlight shines well and the scenery is beautiful enough for a hermit to live.’ Namgeo Yugeo is interpreted as ‘the house where Namgeo Jang Hojin (1856?1929) lived in seclusion.’
