This contest is open to any research results using presidential records on any topic, as long as the research utilizes records held by the Presidential Archives. Eligibility is set at '20 years old or older,' allowing not only professional researchers but also university students and the general public to participate.
The Presidential Archives plans to accept advance applications to allow free searching and viewing of presidential records for use in thesis writing.
The advance application period is from April 1 to April 30. Applicants can download the application form from the Presidential Records Portal and submit it along with a research proposal via email. The final research results must be submitted via email between October 1 and 31, following the same procedure as the advance application.
The Archives plans to select five outstanding works in November this year, considering factors such as the number of direct citations and analysis volume of presidential records. Winners will receive a prize of approximately 3 million KRW each. The winning works will be published as excellent research papers on presidential records.
