Government "Practical Work Underway Based on Reciprocity for Vaccine Passports"
[Asia Economy Reporter Seo So-jeong] The government announced that it is conducting practical work on the 'vaccine passport' based on reciprocity.
Yoon Tae-ho, head of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters' quarantine team, said at a press briefing for the press corps on the 18th, "Regarding the management of overseas arrivals, practical discussions are planned and underway on what our government should do when a vaccination certificate is submitted."
Yoon said, "Since the vaccine passport is likely to be based on reciprocity, it seems that the European Union (EU) will issue it and request our government to 'handle it in a certain way,'" adding, "Our government will discuss how to respond to what the counterpart countries are doing."
