Police Arrest Man and Woman Who Caused Traffic Accident After Confessing to Drug Use
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A man and a woman who confessed to drug use and then caused a traffic accident while driving were arrested by the police.
On the 17th, according to the police, the Gwangjin Police Station in Seoul urgently detained and is investigating a man in his 40s, Mr. A, and a woman in her 30s, Ms. B, on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act and the Narcotics Control Act.
They are suspected of using drugs around 3 p.m. the previous day and hitting a guardrail at the northern intersection of Olympic Bridge before fleeing the scene. It is known that Mr. A confessed to 112 about 10 minutes before the accident that he had used drugs.
The police caught them in a vehicle stopped in front of the main gate of the Gwangjin Police Station that day.
