Miryang-si to Recruit Childcare Providers for 'Idolbom Service'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] On the 17th, Miryang City in Gyeongnam announced that it is recruiting child caregivers on an ongoing basis to expand the support project for the self-pay portion of the childcare service.
Eligibility to apply includes holders of childcare-related certificates such as childcare teachers, kindergarten teachers, elementary and secondary school teachers, and nurses residing in Miryang City.
Applications can be submitted by visiting the Miryang City Healthy Family Multicultural Family Support Center on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. after prior inquiry.
The service provider selects candidates through document screening, aptitude tests, and interviews. Selected individuals undergo a training course (80 hours) and field practice (20 hours) before being finally hired as child caregivers.
Once hired as a child caregiver, wages of 8,730 KRW per hour, weekly holiday allowances, night and holiday work allowances, etc., are paid according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.
