Bank of Korea Conducts '2021 Financial Economic Law Research Paper Contest'
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunbyeol Kim] The Bank of Korea announced on the 17th that it will hold the "2021 Financial Economic Law Research Paper Contest" for university (graduate) students and financial sector workers.
The contest theme is related to current issues and improvement tasks in financial economic law. Papers should be between 20 and 60 pages in A4 size and submitted by email (legaloffice@bok.or.kr) by July 28. Specific guidelines can be found on the Bank of Korea website.
One Grand Prize winner will receive a certificate from the Governor of the Bank of Korea and a prize of 5 million KRW. One Excellence Award winner and two Encouragement Award winners will receive certificates and prizes of 3 million KRW and 1.5 million KRW respectively.

The Bank of Korea has been holding this contest since 2014 to raise interest and research atmosphere regarding the central banking system and financial economic legislation. Since 2017, winners who apply for the Bank of Korea's new employee (G5) recruitment within the next five years receive preferential treatment in the document screening process.
