[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 16th that it will conduct a joint safety inspection of national river facilities to prevent safety accidents during the thawing season and to prepare in advance for the flood season.
The inspection targets are facilities such as embankments, sluice gates, and revetments installed along a total of 52 rivers, including one national river and 51 local rivers within the region.
The county will carry out the inspection jointly with related organizations such as the Busan Regional Construction and Management Administration and Gyeongnam Province until the 19th.
They plan to patrol and inspect the maintenance status of embankments and revetments, the normal opening and closing of sluice gates, and the scouring of the riverbed beneath structures caused by water flow.
