Gwangjin-gu, COVID-19 Preliminary Testing for Public Job Participants
Following Preemptive Testing for All Employees, Preemptive Testing Also for Public Job Participants
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Seon-gap) has initiated proactive testing for public job participants following the proactive testing of all employees to early detect asymptomatic and latent infections within the district office and block sources of infection.
The district decided to conduct proactive testing for public job participants as well, judging that if confirmed cases occur internally, the district office and public facilities may be temporarily closed, causing a gap in public administrative services.
The testing targets a total of 570 workers involved in the Gwangjin-type Happy Job Project, Public Work Job Project, and Local Quarantine Job Project, with testing conducted sequentially until the 17th.
Kim Seon-gap, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “Since confirmed COVID-19 cases within the district office could lead to inconvenience in administrative services for residents, proactive prevention is necessary. We will make every effort to detect asymptomatic and latent infections early and block sources of infection by testing not only employees but also all public job participants.”
