Launch of International Intangible Heritage Information Sharing Service 'ichLinks'
Providing the Latest International Intangible Cultural Heritage Information and Building Intangible Cultural Heritage Content in the Asia-Pacific Region
The UNESCO Asia-Pacific Intangible Cultural Heritage Centre will launch the international intangible heritage information-sharing digital English online service 'ichLinks' on the 15th. Marking its 10th anniversary, the Asia-Pacific Centre has collaborated with UNESCO member countries in the Asia-Pacific region to create an online service that consolidates intangible heritage data and related content. The name ichLinks combines intangible cultural heritage (ich) and links.
ichLinks contains detailed information on about 1,000 intangible heritage items from the Asia-Pacific region, as well as related videos, photos, audio materials, books, and expert information. The operators are partner organizations recommended by member countries in the Asia-Pacific region, including the Malaysian Association of Cultural and Arts Activists (MACPA), the National Centre for Cultural Heritage of Mongolia (NCCH), the Vietnam Institute of Culture and Arts Studies (VICAS), the National Institute of Culture of Uzbekistan, and the Kazakhstan Committee for Culture and Arts.
