On the 14th, at the Uijeongbu Indoor Ice Rink, the '20/21 KB Financial National Men and Women Figure Skating President's Cup Ranking Competition' was held, where the 'KB Financial Figure Skating Dream Scholarship' was awarded for Korean figure skating hopefuls. View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] KB Financial Group announced on the 15th that it has delivered 50 million KRW in the ‘KB Financial Figure Skating Dream Scholarship’ for Korean figure skating hopefuls to the Korea Skating Union at the ‘20/21 KB Financial National Men’s and Women’s Figure Skating President’s Cup Ranking Competition (2021 Figure Skating National Team Final Selection),’ which concluded at the Uijeongbu Indoor Ice Rink.
The scholarship has been supported by KB Financial Group since 2015 with the purpose of ‘developing figure skating through supporting youth figure skating prospects.’ Last year, 10 promising male and female skaters (2 males, 8 females) received the scholarship.
The delivered scholarship will be awarded to figure skating hopefuls. The recipients will be selected by the Korea Skating Union based on their performances in major competitions such as the ‘KB Financial Korea Figure Skating Championship 2021’ and the recently held ‘20/21 KB Financial National Men’s and Women’s Figure Skating President’s Cup Ranking Competition.’
