Under the names of the People's Action for Regime Change and the Emergency Coalition to End Tyranny, they held a press conference at the National Assembly Communication Office on the 14th, stating, "With only four days left before candidate registration, negotiating unification plans itself is becoming a factor that makes winning the election difficult," and added, "The parties making unification difficult should step back from negotiations, and the two candidates should meet directly and make a decisive move to unify."
They continued, "If the two candidates fail to unify this time, they will not escape the stern judgment of history. If unification does not happen, or if it does but not in a timely manner leading to defeat in the election, the people will hold the two candidates historically accountable."
They emphasized, "The upcoming April 7 Seoul mayoral by-election is not only an opportunity to correct the Moon Jae-in administration's arrogance and irresponsibility but also an election that will have a significant impact on the forthcoming presidential election. Therefore, the broad opposition camp must unite under the banner of 'saving the nation.'"

They stepped forward as candidate unification, essential for opposition victory, showed no progress. These groups stated, "Failure to unify candidates guarantees defeat, while success opens the door to certain victory. Nevertheless, the feared situations during the unification process are becoming reality," and urged, "There is only one chance. Time is tight. Please abandon party interests for the greater good."
