Gyeongbuk Province Offers 1 Million KRW Card to Young Workers in SMEs... First-Come, First-Served Recruitment for 1,260 People
Applications Accepted at Gyeongbuk Job Comprehensive Center Starting from the 15th
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Gyeongbuk Province is recruiting participants for the 'Youth Worker Happiness Card Support Project' starting from the 15th to encourage long-term employment of young workers employed at small and medium-sized enterprises.
The eligibility criteria for this project are young workers who have joined small and medium-sized enterprises in Gyeongbuk Province since June 2019, have worked for more than 3 months, have a residential address in the province as of the application date, and are between 19 and 39 years old with an annual salary below 30 million KRW.
Gyeongbuk Province will invest 1.4 billion KRW to recruit and select 1,260 beneficiaries on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested applicants can apply through the Gyeongbuk Job Comprehensive Center website.
Youth selected as beneficiaries will receive 1 million KRW worth of points per year, paid in two installments. The points can be used both online and offline for health management such as health checkups and gym use, cultural and leisure activities such as travel and attending performances, as well as self-development areas including academy courses and book purchases.
Analysis of last year's beneficiaries showed that about 92% of the supported youth continued working, indicating a significant contribution to long-term employment.
