Sudan "Saudi Crown Prince Promises 3.4 Trillion Won Investment"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Sudan has reportedly secured a $3 billion (approximately 3.4 trillion KRW) investment commitment from Saudi Arabia, according to foreign media on the 12th (local time).
Khalid Omar Youssef, Sudan's Cabinet Minister, told Reuters, "Saudi Arabia has pledged to invest $3 billion in the form of a joint fund."
Minister Youssef explained that this investment agreement came after a recent meeting between Sudanese Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok and Saudi Arabia's de facto ruler Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, where they discussed ways to overcome Sudan's economic crisis.
