Former LH Headquarters Chief Jumps from Home... "Deeply Responsible," Writes in Suicide Note (Summary)
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Jiwon] It has been confirmed that an employee of Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) took an extreme measure on the 12th.
According to LH, A (56), who served as the head of the Jeonbuk Headquarters of LH, jumped from his home located in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do at around 9:40 a.m. that day. A suicide note was also reportedly found.
A was found collapsed and bleeding by a passerby and was transported to Bundang Seoul National University Hospital but ultimately passed away.
His suicide note reportedly contained the message, "I deeply feel responsible as the regional head."
The Jeonbuk Headquarters, where he served as head, was the workplace of four out of the 13 LH employees recently implicated in the new town speculation allegations.
A was a senior executive with one year left until retirement and is currently affiliated with LH.
LH stated regarding this matter, "The police are investigating the reasons," and explained, "He is unrelated to the 20 employees currently under suspicion for speculation."
