View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] Mirae Asset Daewoo has been selected as an excellent investment bank (IB) in the KOSPI market.
On the 11th, the Korea Exchange announced that it had selected the "2020 KOSPI Excellent IB" to promote the activation of initial public offerings (IPO) in the KOSPI market. The Exchange stated that the selection was made by comprehensively considering market contribution such as KOSPI listing performance and the appropriateness of IPO-related work.
Mirae Asset Daewoo recorded a public offering performance of 772.5 billion KRW last year, ranking among the IPO Big 3 along with NH Investment & Securities and Korea Investment & Securities. The number of companies it underwrote for IPOs reached 17.

Son Byung-doo, Chairman of the Korea Exchange, said, "Thanks to IBs, the IPO market boom was able to continue despite COVID-19," and added, "The Exchange will introduce a growth-centered screening plan this year and prepare measures to ensure the price stability of public offering stocks."
