Haman-gun to Begin Accepting Applications for Haman-style Emergency Disaster Relief Fund from the 17th
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Haman-gun, Gyeongnam, will start accepting applications for the Haman-type Emergency Disaster Relief Fund for all residents from the 17th.
The county announced the provision of the Haman-type Emergency Disaster Relief Fund on the 8th of last month to revitalize the local economy and support livelihoods affected by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The recipients of this "Haman-type Emergency Disaster Relief Fund" are residents registered in Haman-gun as of the application date, based on the household resident registration.
Marriage immigrants without nationality who are not included in the household member count on the resident registration can apply additionally to receive the fund.
During the concentrated application period (17th?23rd), applications will be accepted according to a 5-day rotation system based on the last digit of the head of household’s birth year.
Some towns and townships operate village-based applications concurrently, so residents should inquire at their local town or township office before visiting.
Residents can visit their local town or township office to apply from the 17th until April 16th and receive the relief fund immediately.
The support amount is 100,000 KRW per person and will be provided in the form of Haman Love Gift Certificates (paper type). It is recommended to use the gift certificates by May 31 to help revitalize the local economy.

Jo Geunje, the mayor of Haman-gun, said, "It is expected that about 65,000 residents will benefit from the Haman-type Emergency Disaster Relief Fund," and added, "We hope this emergency disaster relief fund will greatly help revitalize the local economy, which has been stagnant due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic."
