Daejeon City Supports Growth Ladder for Non-Face-to-Face and Digital Startup Companies
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City is laying a growth ladder for startups in the non-face-to-face and digital sectors.
The city announced on the 11th that it is recruiting participants for the "Post-Corona Response Growth Stage Startup Support Project."
The recruitment target is companies that have been established for more than 3 years but less than 7 years and possess innovative technologies in the non-face-to-face and digital fields.
The city plans to select about 20 teams as supported companies through expert evaluation. Selected companies must mandatorily employ youth under the age of 39 residing in Daejeon, and the city will provide up to 18 million KRW in labor costs for the employed personnel.
Additionally, 18 million KRW will be separately provided as corporate support funds to operate programs necessary for business growth, such as technology development and improvement, and building online and offline distribution channels.
This project is implemented as part of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's region-led youth job creation project. Last year, 28 companies participated in this project, achieving results such as an average sales increase of 33%, 32 management and technology certifications, and 23 business agreements.
Startup companies wishing to participate must submit related documents, including a youth new recruitment commitment letter, by the 19th through the Daejeon Technopark online application system.
For more details, refer to the Daejeon Technopark website or contact the Regional Industry Promotion Office at Daejeon Technopark.
