Gyeongnam Province to Provide Up to 2 Million KRW in Job-Seeking Activity Expenses to 2,000 Youths
Apply from the 17th to the 31st via the Dream Card website
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do is recruiting participants for the '2021 Youth Job-Seeking Activity Allowance Support Project' (Dream Card Project) from the 17th to the 31st.
The Dream Card Project is a program that supports expenses so that unemployed youth in the province, who are experiencing difficulties due to the prolonged job preparation period caused by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), can focus on job-seeking activities.
Gyeongnam Province plans to support a total of 2,000 people this year with 500,000 KRW per month for up to 4 months, totaling a maximum of 2,000,000 KRW.
Youth job seekers can use the support funds for education expenses related to job-seeking activities, book purchases, exam fees, interview preparation costs, and more.
Starting this year, among the participating youth, those who get employed or start a business and maintain employment for 3 months will receive an additional employment success allowance of 500,000 KRW.
Additionally, 10% of the 2,000,000 KRW support fund, equivalent to 200,000 KRW, will be paid in Gyeongnam Love Gift Certificates to help local small business owners and contribute to the activation of the Zero Pay usage policy.
The eligibility criteria are youth aged 18 to 34 who reside in the province and have graduated, dropped out, or completed their studies, with household median income at or below 150%.
Applicants can apply through the Dream Card website from the 17th to the 31st.
In a satisfaction survey conducted on last year's project participants, 80.5% responded that it was practically helpful for their job-seeking activities.
