More than 60,000 people received COVID-19 vaccinations the previous day, bringing the total number of vaccinated individuals to over 380,000. As vaccinations continue, 936 additional adverse reaction reports were filed, totaling 4,851 cases.
The Central Disease Control Headquarters (CDCH) announced that as of midnight, 446 new domestic COVID-19 cases were confirmed, bringing the cumulative total to 93,263. Regarding infection routes, 427 cases were locally transmitted, and 19 were imported from overseas.
By region, the metropolitan area had a high proportion with Seoul at 98 cases, Gyeonggi at 181, and Incheon at 20. In non-metropolitan areas, Gwangju reported 32 cases, Chungbuk 21, Busan 19, Chungnam 14, Gangwon 13, Ulsan 11, Jeonbuk 7, Daegu 3, Jeonnam, Gyeongbuk, and Jeju 2 each, and Daejeon and Gyeongnam 1 each. No new cases were reported in Sejong.
Among the 19 imported cases, 4 were identified during quarantine, and the remaining 15 were confirmed within the local community. Eleven were Korean nationals, and eight were foreigners.
The cumulative death toll from COVID-19 increased by 3 compared to the previous day. Among hospitalized patients, the number of critically ill patients remained the same at 128. The number of patients who recovered and were released from isolation increased by 426, totaling 83,900.
On this day, 41,175 diagnostic tests were conducted based on suspected case reports, and 28,227 tests were performed at temporary screening clinics set up in the metropolitan area, confirming 65 positive cases.
Additionally, the COVID-19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team reported that as of midnight, 64,111 people received additional COVID-19 vaccine doses, bringing the total number of first-dose vaccinations to 383,346. Among them, 377,138 received the AstraZeneca vaccine, and 6,208 received the Pfizer vaccine.

As the number of vaccinated individuals increased, 936 additional cases suspected of adverse reactions were reported, totaling 4,851. Of these, 4,790 were mild cases such as headaches, fever, and nausea, and 43 were suspected anaphylaxis cases. Notably, two additional deaths following vaccination were reported the previous day. Since vaccinations began on the 26th of last month, the cumulative number of death reports totals 13, all of whom received the AstraZeneca vaccine.
