View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] President Moon Jae-in said on the 8th regarding the allegations of land speculation by employees of Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) in the 3rd new town development project, "The prosecution and police must cooperate organically to root out the problem."
President Moon, after receiving work reports from the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety at the Blue House that day, stated in his closing remarks, "This case is the first that requires organic cooperation between the prosecution and police," and added, "Make sure there is no disappointment to the public."
According to Blue House spokesperson Kang Min-seok, President Moon repeatedly mentioned "organic cooperation" and "close consultation" while ordering the prosecution to participate in the investigation of this case.
President Moon said, "At the government level, the joint investigation team (Joint Team) is conducting a wide-ranging investigation, but there is no need to investigate first and then conduct the prosecution later," adding, "Investigation and prosecution must proceed together, so the Police National Investigation Headquarters (NIS) should promptly conduct the investigation in parallel, and the Joint Team should hand over the investigation results to the NIS as they come."

President Moon emphasized, "During the process of adjusting investigative authority, the two agencies may have had different positions, but now they must maximize the response capabilities of the national investigative agencies through organic cooperation," and stated, "Organic cooperation between the prosecution and police is an important task to complete the adjustment of investigative authority."
