According to Mokpo City on the 8th, a total of 1,634 people were vaccinated, including 1,220 at nursing hospitals and 414 at elderly care facilities. The vaccination rate was 94.3%, with 98 people, or 5.7% of the originally planned number, unable to receive the vaccine due to health reasons.
The second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine will be administered at medical institutions in the area, including 18 high-risk medical institutions (hospital level or higher) and 2 medical institutions operating psychiatric closed wards, totaling 20 locations with 2,345 people, as well as 239 first responders to COVID-19 (COVID-19 quarantine response personnel, disaster countermeasures headquarters, 119 emergency medical technicians, etc.), totaling 2,584 people, according to each vaccination institution's own plan, at medical institutions and public health centers.

A Mokpo City official stated, “To ensure safe and smooth COVID-19 vaccinations, we are focusing on all aspects of vaccination, from vaccine transportation and storage to managing recipients, administering vaccinations, and responding to adverse reactions, by operating the Mokpo City Vaccination Implementation Promotion Team.” He added, “The third dose will be carried out sequentially according to government guidelines, starting with vaccinations at Mokpo City Medical Center, an infectious disease dedicated hospital, and we will promptly inform citizens of all vaccination information.”
