'Kiwoom Smart ETF' Surpasses 200 Billion KRW in Net Assets
[Asia Economy Reporter Junho Hwang] Kiwoom Asset Management's Kiwoom Smart 4th Industrial Revolution ETF Dollar-Cost Averaging Securities Investment Trust [Mixed - Fund of Funds] (hereinafter Smart Fund), sold through Kakao Pay Securities, surpassed KRW 200 billion in net assets on the 8th.
Since recording KRW 100 billion in net assets last December, approximately KRW 100 billion more funds have been invested in about three months.
This is analyzed as a result of the active subscriber acquisition and post-management services of Kakao Pay and Kakao Pay Securities combined with the Smart Fund's excellent management strategy and profitability.
The Smart Fund's return since its inception until the end of February 2021 is 32.5% based on Class C-e. The returns by period are 1 month -0.6%, 3 months 3.5%, 6 months 10.3%, and 1 year 33.3%. The fund's volatility is about 14.7% annually, significantly lower than the KOSPI volatility of 28.4% and NASDAQ volatility of 34.6% annually.
A Kiwoom Asset Management official said, "The Smart Fund is managed with a dollar-cost averaging strategy that is strong in volatile markets, allowing investors to invest in promising themes without worrying about timing for buying, selling, or profit realization," adding, "It is highly recommended for investors who need to rebuild their portfolios in preparation for increased market volatility and prolonged corrections."
