30s Sentenced to Prison for Causing Unlicensed Traffic Accident and Presenting Cousin's Driver's License

On the 7th, Judge Jeong Soo-young of the Chuncheon District Court Criminal Division 3 announced that A (33), who was indicted for violating the Special Act on Traffic Accident Handling, the Road Traffic Act, and forgery of official documents, was sentenced to 4 months in prison.
On November 14, 2019, A drove a passenger car without a license from Inje, Gangwon Province to Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi Province, and collided with a stationary passenger car on a road in Uijeongbu.
Due to the impact of the accident, the damaged vehicle was pushed forward and hit another stationary passenger car, and the drivers of the damaged vehicles sustained injuries requiring about 4 weeks and 7 to 10 days of treatment.

Judge Jeong explained the sentencing rationale, saying, "He caused this traffic accident during a probation period for another crime, tried to conceal the crime by presenting someone else's ID after the accident, and the victims' injuries were not minor.
