On the 6th, Oh stated on Facebook, "I will accomplish what Park Young-sun of the Democratic Party and former Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon could not," adding, "I will definitely resolve the long-standing projects in the southwestern region."
Oh explained, "The relocation of the Guro-dong vehicle depot has been a campaign promise for 16 years during every election," and said, "There have only been plans without progress, which has frustrated the residents. Recently, with the announcement of the Gwangmyeong New Town plan, hope has arisen for the depot relocation, but there is still a long way to go." The relocation of the Guro vehicle depot is one of the long-standing projects in the Guro-eul area, which was the constituency of Park Young-sun of the Democratic Party.
Oh plans to promote a complex development at the relocation site that includes lifestyle convenience facilities such as libraries, green spaces, educational facilities like schools, office facilities, and residential areas. He aims to attract core functions to the southwestern region. He said, "I will ensure it becomes a future blueprint that residents desire."
The Guro vehicle depot, Guro Tool Market, and Sindorim-dong will be developed together as a landmark area in the southwestern region. Oh said, "We will bring new changes to the area along Gyeongin-ro from Sindorim Station to Guro Station and carry out transit-oriented urban development that can cover the housing demand of Guro Digital Complex."
Oh also emphasized the need to resolve the frequently recurring power outage issues in Sindorim-dong. He stated, "This is a problem that can only be solved through redevelopment, and patchwork measures are not the answer."
