View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Choyoung] Im Eun-jung, Policy Research Officer of the Inspection Policy Division at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, criticized Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol's expression of intention to resign on the 4th, saying, "I cannot understand what he is trying to protect or what he is leaving to protect."
On the afternoon of the same day, Im wrote on her Facebook, "I saw the news about the Prosecutor General's intention to resign. Leaving me only a written order for the transfer of duties and departing abruptly, I can no longer understand what the Prosecutor General was trying to protect," she pointed out.
She referred to the case involving former Prime Minister Han Myeong-sook related to allegations of witness tampering, stating, "I wanted to criminally indict the prosecution's inmate witnesses and file charges, while the head of Inspection Division 3 believed it was appropriate not to prosecute. Although we had differing opinions, the Prosecutor General appointed the head of Inspection Division 3 as the lead prosecutor," and claimed, "According to the head of Inspection Division 3's wishes, the case will be closed as it is."
She then emphasized, "I will continue to consider what I must do in my position and will keep fulfilling my responsibilities."

Previously, Im claimed that she was excluded from the investigation into the allegations of witness tampering related to former Prime Minister Han Myeong-sook under Prosecutor General Yoon's orders and had clashed with the Supreme Prosecutors' Office multiple times. When the allegations arose, the Supreme Prosecutors' Office immediately stated, "The Prosecutor General has never assigned the case mentioned by Officer Im to her, and on the 2nd, the head of Inspection Division 3 was designated as the lead prosecutor for the first time." In response, Im promptly rebutted, saying, "I knew it would end up like this, but still, our Prosecutor General should not have done this."
