On the 4th, HiteJinro announced that it signed a business agreement with TerraCycle, a global recycling consulting company, to systematically recycle and promote separate disposal of containers such as cans and PET bottles.
Having taken the lead in eco-friendly management activities by obtaining environmental product declarations for major products such as Terra and Jinro, HiteJinro plans to provide consumers with the experience of proper resource circulation in the 'Must(Environmentally) Era' through this business agreement and contribute to its social expansion.
Through the agreement, HiteJinro and TerraCycle plan to build online and offline platforms and conduct campaigns to encourage separate disposal of product containers such as cans and PET bottles and delivery containers, as well as to expand recycling. Containers collected through the campaign will be made into recycled goods and distributed.
Oh Seong-taek, Executive Director of Marketing at HiteJinro, said, "We hope that this business agreement will help raise awareness of the value of resource circulation and expand the practice of environmentally necessary habits." He added, "HiteJinro will strive to demonstrate responsible behavior toward society and the environment throughout the entire process from production to consumption of all products, including Terra."
