Incheon Office of Education to Recruit 89 Local Public Officials... Application Period from Next Month 19 to 23
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] The Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education has announced the plan for the open competitive recruitment exam to select 89 new local government officials this year.
By job category, there are 58 positions in educational administration, 3 in computer science, 12 in librarianship, 4 in facilities (civil engineering and architecture), 9 in engineering (electrical and mechanical), and 3 in food hygiene.
In the educational administration category, 4 positions for persons with disabilities and 2 for low-income individuals will be recruited and selected separately from general applicants, and in the librarian category, 2 positions for persons with disabilities will be recruited separately.
To promote the entry of high school graduates into public service, among the facilities and engineering positions, 5 positions (1 in architecture, 2 in mechanical, 2 in electrical) will be selected from graduates (or prospective graduates) of regional specialized high schools and Meister high schools.
Applications will be accepted online through the recruitment system website from the 19th to the 23rd of next month. The written exam will be held on June 5, followed by interviews on July 23, and the final successful candidates will be announced in early August.

An official from the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education stated, "This recruitment reflects the replenishment of personnel naturally reduced due to retirement, the necessary staff for nine newly established schools by September next year, and personnel requirements due to leaves of absence."
