Samsung to Develop Mid-Range Exynos AP
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Samsung Electronics is reported to be launching a mid-range Exynos processor.
According to SamMobile, an IT specialized media outlet, on the 1st, Samsung is known to be developing a mid-range Exynos processor.
Previously, Samsung Electronics released the Exynos 980 at the end of 2019, and last year, it consecutively launched high-end chipsets such as the Exynos 1080 and Exynos 2100, proving its competitiveness. Exynos is a mobile application processor (AP) developed and sold by Samsung Electronics.
According to GalaxyClub, Samsung is currently developing an Exynos chipset with the model number S5E5515. SamMobile stated, "The company's model naming system is diverse, so it is not clear whether this model is a low-end, mid-range, or high-end chipset, but it is likely a mid-range processor."

The expected release time is likely late this year or early next year. SamMobile explained, "The release timing is not clear," but added, "Considering that it took 10 months from when news about the Exynos 980 was revealed to its release in smartphones, late this year to early next year is likely." They also noted that it should be kept in mind that it could be a new chipset for wearables and AR glasses.
