View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] Daegu City and the Daegu Branch of the Liberation Association will hold a commemorative bell-ringing ceremony at noon on March 1st, marking the 102nd anniversary of the March 1st Movement, at the bell pavilion in Daegu National Debt Repayment Movement Memorial Park.
At the bell-ringing ceremony, 24 people, including Daegu Mayor Kwon Young-jin, Daegu City Council Chairman Jang Sang-su, descendants of independence activists, recipients of the Daegu Proud Citizen Award, and Volunteer Service Award winners, will be divided into three groups and ring the bell 11 times per group, totaling 33 rings.
The bell-ringers include Mr. Lim Sang-gyu, recipient of the 2020 Daegu Proud Citizen Award, Ms. Kang Jeung-ja, recipient of the Daegu Volunteer Service Award, and Mr. Oh Geun-sik, recipient of the 2020 Korea Talent Award organized by the Ministry of Education.

Meanwhile, before the Liberation Day bell-ringing event, Daegu Mayor Kwon Young-jin will attend a memorial service at Sinam Seon-yeol Park at 9 a.m., followed by the 102nd March 1st Movement anniversary ceremony held at the Daegu Culture and Arts Center.
