View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park Cheol-eung] Yoon Hee-seok, spokesperson for the People Power Party, stated in a commentary on the 27th, "We have only just fastened the first button of herd immunity."
Spokesperson Yoon said, "The first vaccinations began yesterday, about 400 days after the first confirmed COVID-19 case. The unanimous voices of those vaccinated saying 'Now we can be relieved' painfully highlight the incompetence of the administration, which, lost in self-admiration over 'K-quarantine,' failed to secure vaccines early."
He continued, "The additional quantity to be introduced by the end of March does not even reach 700,000 doses. Even if the plan proceeds as scheduled, only about 1.5 million people, or 2.9% of the entire population, will be vaccinated by May. The originally planned 'herd immunity formation by November' seems difficult."
Spokesperson Yoon also said, "The public is still curious about 'when will I be able to get vaccinated?' Anxiety about the vaccine remains. This is not the time for the President and Prime Minister to merely observe the vaccinations with a satisfied smile as if bestowing a favor."

He emphasized, "The start of vaccination should not be perceived as the end of the COVID-19 crisis. Because we have only just fastened the first button of herd immunity."
