High Pressure Gas Association, Chairman Sim Seung-il Reappointed
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] The Korea High Pressure Gas Industry Cooperative Federation (President Shim Seung-il) held its 19th regular general meeting on the 25th and unanimously approved the reappointment of President Shim Seung-il (CEO of Samjeong Gas Industry Co., Ltd.).
During his tenure as federation president, Shim has worked to address the pressing issues of the high-pressure gas industry, namely "gas safety and supply stability." In particular, to rationalize gas safety regulations last year, he proposed the formation of the "High Pressure Gas Safety Council" to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. The council began its activities at the end of last year, and efforts have been made to develop improvement measures for related systems to resolve difficulties faced by the gas industry.
