Starting from 8 a.m. on the same day, the police escorted vehicles transporting AstraZeneca vaccines from the Icheon Logistics Center to 162 nursing hospitals and public health centers across Seoul.
At the time of vaccine arrival, patrol cars and armed police officers were deployed to prepare for any emergencies. Until the completion of vaccinations, linked patrols and regional mobile units were organized and deployed as reserve forces to respond to any unforeseen situations.
Additionally, when Pfizer vaccines are imported into the country on the 26th, the police will provide the highest level of escort for transport vehicles from Incheon Airport to the Central Vaccination Center at the National Medical Center in Jung-gu, Seoul. A 24-hour mobile unit and patrol cars will be stationed at the Central Vaccination Center.

The police have established a hotline between all medical institutions and the 112 situation room to respond with rapid response teams, strike teams, and police special forces in case of unexpected incidents. A police official stated, "Since this is the first vaccine supplied domestically, we plan to prepare all processes, including transportation and storage, at the highest level to ensure the public’s peace of mind."
