KB Securities "US Stock Market Pre-Market Trading Available from 6 PM"
Providing the Industry's Fastest Transaction Times
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] KB Securities has decided to extend the pre-market trading hours for U.S. stocks by starting one hour earlier, from 6 PM.
KB Securities announced on the 25th that the pre-market trading hours for U.S. stocks will be changed to start from 6 PM.
The U.S. stock market is divided into pre-market, regular trading hours, and after-market (post-market trading) sessions by time zones. Unlike the domestic market, competitive trading rather than call auctions takes place during both pre-market and after-market sessions.
With this extension, KB Securities customers can trade in the pre-market from 6 PM to 11:30 PM, totaling 5 hours and 30 minutes. This allows trading U.S. stocks for a total of 12 hours and 50 minutes until 6:50 AM the next day.
KB Securities cautioned that overseas stock trading involves risks such as principal loss due to exchange rate fluctuations. They also noted that when using U.S. stock pre-market trading, prices may fall outside the high and low range of the regular session, and due to limited support of electronic communication networks (ECN) between exchanges and low liquidity, quotes may appear abnormal.
For detailed information about U.S. stock pre-market trading, customers can refer to KB Securities’ Mobile Trading System (MTS) or Home Trading System (HTS), or contact nationwide branches and customer service centers.
