Gyeonggi-do Calls for Startup Teams for 'Crowdfunding-Linked Startup Support Project'
[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Gyeonggi Province is recruiting promising startup teams to participate in the 'Crowd Funding-linked Startup Support Project.'
According to the province on the 24th, in the first year of the project, a total of 50 companies will be selected, including 30 'securities-type (investment-type)' companies that give equity to investors as a reward for funding, and 20 'reward-type' companies that provide products, etc.
Costs such as intermediary fees for registering on the crowdfunding platform, video and funding page production costs, and advertising expenses will be supported up to 5 million KRW for 'reward-type' and up to 10 million KRW for 'securities-type.'
In particular, among the 30 'securities-type' companies, 15 companies with excellent funding performance will be selected through a selection committee and provided with differentiated commercialization funds up to 50 million KRW.
Additionally, to strengthen investment attraction capabilities and increase funding success rates, investment education, one-on-one consulting, and mentoring will also be conducted.
The startup registers its products on an online funding platform, and after being evaluated by the public small investors' choices and marketability, it operates in a way to expand its equity capital through investment attraction.
