Two Explosions at Ulsan Taekwang Industrial New Facility... "No Casualties"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] An accident occurred in which equipment exploded twice at the Taekwang Industrial Petrochemical Plant 2 in Ulsan.
According to the Ulsan Police Agency and Ulsan Fire Headquarters, at around 5:37 PM on the 23rd, the newly installed evaporation recovery facility at Taekwang Industrial Petrochemical Plant 2 in Yeocheon-dong, Nam-gu, Ulsan, experienced the first explosion.
There were no casualties, but some hydrogen peroxide leaked around the site due to the accident. The explosion did not lead to a fire.
While the accident was being managed, a second explosion occurred at around 7:11 PM at a point 10 to 15 meters away from the initial explosion site. The fire authorities stated that there were no casualties from the second explosion either.
The police extended the control line from 30 meters to 60 meters away from the initial site to prepare for any additional explosions.

The police and others are investigating the extent of the damage and the circumstances of the accident, believing that the explosion occurred during the safety testing process of the newly installed equipment.
