Sangju City plans to proceed with vaccination starting March 2 for high-risk medical institution workers and COVID-19 response personnel, aiming to complete vaccination for more than 70% of citizens by November.
The vaccination target in Sangju is about 85,000 citizens aged 18 and over. In March, priority vaccination will be given to about 1,500 people including COVID-19 dedicated hospital and nursing hospital (under 65) residents and workers, residents and workers of elderly care facilities, 119 emergency responders and other COVID-19 response personnel, and high-risk medical institution workers.
In the second quarter, vaccination will be conducted for about 26,000 citizens aged 65 and over and residents and workers of facilities such as those with disabilities. In the third quarter, adults (18-64 years old) and education and childcare facility workers will be the final targets.
Sangju City established a vaccination center at the Citizens' Sports Complex Indoor Gymnasium (Old Building) and selected 39 hospitals and clinics as entrusted medical institutions for vaccination. The vaccination order will be adjusted considering the domestic confirmed case situation, vaccine supply timing, and secured quantity, and citizens cannot choose the type of vaccine.
