Tmon "Domestic Flight Ticket Reservations Surge 7 Times... Jeju Flights from 10,300 Won"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Online shopping mall TMON announced on the 23rd that domestic airline ticket reservations have surged more than sevenfold as the cold weather eased and spring approached rapidly.
Analyzing domestic airline ticket reservations sold on TMON this month (sales from the 1st to the 20th), tickets departing next month increased by 650% compared to reservations sold the previous month. Tickets departing in April rose by 744%, and tickets departing in May surged by an astonishing 1308%.
With the recent warm weather continuing, customers seem to be rushing to book airline tickets to plan their spring trips in earnest. The prolonged impact of COVID-19, which has blocked overseas travel, also contributed to the desire to satisfy travel cravings through domestic products.
TMON is currently running a promotion until the end of this month, offering 1,000 won in reward points to customers who book Sunmin Tour products (with departure dates until March 31) on its real-time airline ticket reservation site.
As of the 22nd, on TMON's real-time airline reservation site, tickets from Busan to Jeju in March start at a lowest price of 10,300 won, and one-way tickets from Gimpo to Jeju can be purchased starting at 12,000 won.
