[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Dongshin University announced on the 22nd that it held the 2020 academic year first semester degree conferment ceremony online to prevent COVID-19.
The online degree conferment ceremony on that day was conducted by producing videos including President Choi Il's congratulatory speech, congratulatory messages from various sectors, award ceremony for graduates, the student council's school anthem singing, card section, and nostalgic campus scenes, which were uploaded to Dongshin University's official YouTube account.
Degree certificates were made available for individual pickup at the department offices, and for graduates who wished to take commemorative photos, academic caps and gowns were rented out, and photo zones such as a flower wall were installed and operated at the university's main gate, Daejeong Square.

The total number of Dongshin University graduates who received degrees that day was 1,433, including 1,288 bachelor's degrees, 127 master's degrees, and 18 doctoral degrees.
